I first ate here nearly 30 years ago with a group from work, and I still remember the sweat rolling off my brow as I enjoyed their fiery hot but amazingly flavorful Kung Pao Chicken. I have no idea why I haven't been back since, but today I came with a group of 12 people and the food was every bit as good as I remembered, and the service was friendly and accommodating despite the size of our group and diversity of requests (some wanted family style, some wanted separate checks, differing levels of heat, etc.). The only thing it needs to warrant a 5 star review is a freshening of the dated decor.
I'll definitely be back, and this time I won't wait another 30 years. -

There was one customer when we walked in. That is usually a hint right? But I thought, it IS mid-week and this IS Idaho - People don't eat out nearly as much as they do in California and I don't know how adventurous folks are around here. Maybe A Chinese/Vietnamese place is crazy-talk for them.
Worst cha gio (Vietnamese Egg rolls) i've ever had. This half Mexican / half white chick can make better - truly. These seemed like they were bought frozen. They serve them with iceberg lettuce (yuck) and no cilantro or fresh herbs.
The Bun Thit Nuong was really tasty. But, having made this dish many times, I could tell the vermicelli noodles were not cooked fresh (which takes a couple of mins to do.)
The prices were a bit high for dinner. Customer service was good - as it should be when the place is empty.
I probably won't be back since it is out of the way. It wasn't horrible but not what i was hoping for either. -

The food quality is great. The amount of food is huge for the reasonable price. They are neat & clean. If you want a pretty place and bad food go somewhere else. We order out it's great.

This is fantastic Vietnamese food! The eggrolls are awesome, and number 13 on the menu is my go to. The staff is very attentive. The seats and decor could use some updating, but these "worn" places always seem to have the best food, and Vina is no exception.
